I’m not really a fan of anything that Lindsay is wearing in this picture. The black faded skinny jeans and simple ballet flats just aren’t flattering at all (well neither is the men’s blazer).

For a cute casual look, a pair of capri pants or blue jeans and an embellished thong sandal or bright flat are ideal. And a simple sweater or colorful top is better than this ensemble.

Oh well, no one is perfect. Since she was shopping, maybe she was buying some new clothes.

Lindsay Lohan is in the news today because her former bodyguard David Kim is suing her for more than $50,000. Kim claims that he was hired for $4,000 a week.

This is the second time the Lohan family has had trouble with hired help recently. Two weeks ago, Lindsay’s mom and manager was ordered to pay $300,000 to another former bodyguard who had lent money to help get Lindsay’s music career started.

Does she really need a big scarf and a sweater, if she’s just going to strut around in a sleeveless top? The weather in L.A. doesn’t change that drastically.

Anyway, let’s talk more about her look. The scarf is cute but it’s really big and long. The highlight of her outfit is her shoes.

Leopard print flats add a little flavor to the rest of her outfit. Through the spring, we are going to continue to see lots of leopard shoes, including flats, pumps and sandals.

Lindsay Lohan seems to be almost falling down from the weight of her bags while shopping in Los Angeles. If she’s not on her way to the airport, she really shouldn’t be carrying this many bags. (And even then, maybe she should just pay someone to carry them for her.)

Lindsay looks casual yet cute with her long sweater over leggings. What really makes her outfit standout is her leopard print shoes.

Leopard flats are extremely popular right now as animal prints are everywhere from hats to handbags (and of course shoes). Wearing print shoes and accessories is a great way to get a little wild without the prints being overwhelming like they might be in a dress or top.

In addition to leopard ballet flats, also consider leopard pumps and other animal print heels. They can be worn with the most casual outfit or even with glamorous evening wear.

On the left, Mandy Moore wore a very simple black dress that doesn’t have much shape to it. The ribbon ties on the sleeves are a nice touch but not really enough to give this dress any pizazz. She does wear some very interesting shoes (see close-up below). The black lace-up shoes are trimmed with gold and have a sexy peep-toe. Though I wouldn’t have worn them with this outfit, they are very cute.

Lindsay Lohan certainly got some attention in a chic halter style black dress with a circular overlay on the sides. I’m not a big fan of the dress, but her patent peep-toe heels almost make up for it.

Rose McGowan looked stunning in her yellow and silver short princess dress. The big belt and netted skirt definitely make this dress a keeper. I love that she selected a contrasting color in her shoes by wearing a pair of pointy red pumps.

All three ladies looked great. Mandy’s dress was a little too frumpy and Lindsay’s selection was a little too slutty. Rose McGown definitely wins dress of the day!

Outside of your cell phone, credit card and a maybe a lipstick to glam up, what do you need while you’re shopping? I just don’t get it. To me, a clutch or a small hobo bag is big enough.

Anyway, back to Lindsay. She’s in the news this week again regarding her accident in 2005, when she drove her Benz into a van and injured its driver, Raymund Ortega. Lindsay is being sued for negligence by Ortega, a busboy, who stays that he saw Lindsay (who was underage back then) have a few drinks at the popular Ivy restaurant prior to the crash. Lindsay denies that she was drinking.

“I did not consume an alcoholic beverage or any type of medication or drug” before or during a stop at the Ivy, Lohan states in court papers filed last week.

Ortega is seeking $200,000 in damages. Lindsay is actually counter-suing Ortega, stating he was at fault because he made an illegal U-Turn.

We’ll see, how this one goes. They’ll probably settle out of court.

In the meantime back in Italy, maybe Lindsay can pick up a smaller bag and a pair of colorful boots to add a little pizazz to her shopping outfit.
