Though I still prefer Carmen Electra as a brunette, she does look cute here at the Cosmopolitan Fun Fearless Male Awards. Cosmopolitan honored John Mayer as the Fun Fearless Male of the Year at the event in New York City on Monday.

Carmen’s aqua blue dress is flirty and fun with a touch of shine. With its silver detailing and slightly ruffle-edged skirt, it offers a very feminine look. I like this blue because it’s not so bright that it’s overwhelming, but it’s not pale and drab either. Aqua is going to be a big color this spring, in everything from dresses to tops to shoes.
Speaking of shoes, Carmen’s silver sandals are hot. They complement the silver on her dress, along with her diamond jewelry. From peep-toe pumps to high heel sandals to ballet flats, metallics are another trend that should carry on throughout 2008.

When Eva Longoria Parker attended the Michael Kors 2008 Fashion Show during Fashion Week in New York, she was all about the gold, glamour and glitz.

Wearing an gold sequined mini-dress, along with gold pumps and a gold clutch, Eva looked smokin’ hot! Though most of us couldn’t pull off an all-over gold look, Eva definitely wears it well.
While other celebs went the more conservative route at fashion week, wearing simple black knee-length dresses, Eva did her own thing. This dress is a definite standout and she wears it well without being too gaudy.
Eva does things right be skipping the jewelry (well, except for the big rock on her finger). If you are wearing this much gold, you don’t need any jewels.
I really love the shoes. Even if you aren’t attending a fashion show or celebrity event, you can dress up just about anything with a pair of gold pumps. If you have a simple black outfit that you are trying to make more dramatic, metallic shoes are definitely the way to go.

Here actress Amanda Bynes looks just adorable at the 19th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala, where she took home an award for Best Ensemble Performance in Hairspray.
She looks fabulous from head to toe — from her Cartier earrings to her peep-toe pumps.
This light airy dress is perfect for Palm Springs, and it has touches of glitz fitting for the occasion. Her silver peep-toe pumps add a little more glam to her ensemble.
Amanda keeps her makeup and hair simple and fresh, as always, which looks great on her.
At the awards, everyone was talking about Britney Spears and her crazy behavior lately.
Amanda weighed in with her thoughts.
“I think that this business just does weird things to people, and I think that it’s sad,” she said. “They get wrapped up in the hoopla and the hair and the makeup, the shopping, the paparazzi and the trying to be famous. That’s not what it’s about. It’s about doing what you love.”
She seems to be pretty level-headed, but you never know how things can change in Hollywood!

Paris and Nicky Hilton partied it up in Las Vegas this weekend. The girls looked like they had a great time, dancing and singing all night long. They hopped from LAX Nightclub inside Luxor to PURE at Caesars Palace.
Also in attendance were Kevin Federline (with his parents!), recording artist Nas, actress Dania Ramirez, TV personalities Frankie Delgado and Brody Jenner, as well as many other celebs. Paris got into it as she sang, “Do you think I’m sexy?”, provocatively danced and posed for pictures.
Paris glittered all night in magenta scoop-neck sequined dress, while Nicky looked just adorable in her shimmery white number. I really love the ruffle at the bottom.
Paris could have done better in the shoe department. Her black pumps don’t do the rest of her outfit justice. Nicky, on the other hand, wore a pair of strappy silver sandals that were perfect for the occasion.
I can’t wait to see what the girls are doing (and wearing!) tonight!
Paris and Nicky are hosting what’s dubbed sin city’s “Biggest Party of the Year” tonight at LAX Nightclub to ring in the New Year.

Nicole Kidman arrived at the Australian Premiere of “The Golden Compass” in Sydney, Australia dressed in a shiny metallic suit. Though metallics are all the rage, this suit is just too much!
First of all, it looks a little small on her. For such a thin woman, that should be impossible. But the suit looks to binding her - particularly underneath the arms.
I would probably loved this outfit if she wore the jacket with a neutral pant. But the all-over shine of this suit makes it look really cheesy. She’s also wearing a cumberbund, which is one of the popular menswear accessories filtering into women’s fashions right now. However with this ensemble, maybe it should have been black.
Thumbs down, Nicole!
Instead of wearing metallics from head-to-toe, it’s best to wear them more subtly. If you want to wear a silver, gold or other other metallic jacket this holiday season, add it to a black dress or pant suit. Then accessorize with metallic shoes, handbags and jewelry.
A pair of silver strappy sandals can be a versatile piece to your wardrobe and a fashion essential this time of year. Also consider buying a metallic or sequined ballet flat for those times when you don’t want to wear heels, but still want to be glamorous.
Carry a small gold or silver evening bag, and finish off the outfit with a pair of simple hoop earrings.
