The robotic Katie Holmes was a little more lively on the “Late Show with David Letterman” on Monday than she was earlier in the day on “Good Morning America” (as well as “Regis & Kelly”). Katie is on the circuit promoting her new movie “Mad Money”, which also stars Dianne Keaton and Queen Latifah.
The picture above is from Katie’s arrival at the Letterman show. Her short red coat covers up her even shorter white mini-dress. It almost looks like she isn’t even wearing anything underneath.
I am a little disappointed in Katie’s choice of shoes. Round-toe pumps just seem too basic for the rest of her look. A pointy-toe black slingback or a patent-peep toe pump would have been better options.
On Letterman, Katie talked about the movie, running the New York Marathon, and of course Tom and Suri. She looks absolutely beautiful, but she’s so robotic compared to how she used to be. Did she just grow up? Or has she been programmed?
I can’t say enough how much I like her hair though.

Renee Zellweger attended the “Bee Movie” film premiere held at the Empire Leicester Square today in London. Zellweger continues on the press tour for the animated movie, along with the film’s Jerry Seinfeld.
As you can see, Renee didn’t look especially photogenic today as captured in these pictures.

I’ve never been a fan of Renee anyway, but I’m really not loving her new haircut. When she wears her hair this short, it really ages her. It would probably help if she would stop making ugly faces to the camera too.
Anyway … the really reason, I’m talking about Renee is because of the outfit she wore to the premiere. As you can see below, she donned a pretty hot number. This black dotted dress feature a very, very high slit which exposed a lot leg (particular in the wind and rain). Also note that she’s wearing open-toed shoes.
Though it’s heading into winter, it is still acceptable to wear open-toe and peep-toe shoes with evening wear. Though you shouldn’t wear them on a daily basis to work and they definitely shouldn’t be worn with bulky clothing, you can get away with slinky shoes on appropriate occasions.
As we head into the holiday season, make sure you have a pair or two of evening shoes.
Strappy slingbacks and patent peep-toe pumps will continue to popular well into winter.

At the Futurama premiere earlier this month, actress Lauren Tom wore a lovely pair of very pointy, blackĀ slingbacks.
Though many women have turned to round toes because of the pain caused by some pointy toe shoes, I have always found that pointed toes are much more feminine and chic.
There is nothing wrong with keeping pointy toe shoes in your wardrobe as long as you don’t wear them too much. You shouldn’t wear these types of shoes while standing on your feet 10 hours a day, but rather save them special occasions or evenings out.
The J. Renee Glaze is a very stylish yet affordable option. These slingbacks have a modern look with the accent strap across the vamp. The elasticized back and padded footbed make these shoes built for comfort.
These shoes come in black, silver and light gold, and you can find them right now at Zappos.com for just $93.95.
