Mila Kunis on MTV’s TRL

16. April 2008 | Filed under Celebrity Style

Mila Kunis and Kristen Bell were on MTV’s TRL yesterday promoting their new movie, Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Mila Kunis (better known to you as Jackie for “That ’70s Show”) looks really terrific here. She’s very pretty, though oftentimes her head looks too large for her body.

I still don’t understand how she’s been dating Macaulay Culkin for six years, but oh well - they seem very happy.

I really like this outfit. The dress has a simple silhouette but lots of interesting details, such as the contrasting stitching on the yoke and the two big front pockets near the hem.

Though the dress is very casual, she livens it up with a pair of satin peep-toe pumps. (Love the dark nail polish!)

Satin shoes, like patent leather, are a great way to add a little glamour and sophistication to your look. Like the rest of her outfit, she keeps her jewelry very simple too - a glitzy tennis bracelet and a pair of hoop earrings finish off the look.

Mischa Barton and Taylor Locke

15. April 2008 | Filed under Boots, Celebrity Style

Mischa Barton and her boyfriend, Rooney guitarist Taylor Locke were out on the streets of Dublin on Tuesday.

Mischa is a pretty girl but can her outfit get any more tacky? The jacket could have been cute with the right pieces. I’m just not sure that tight, hiphugger jeans and an old Eagles T-shirt are the answer.

The worst part of the outfit? Those boots! How atrocious. I’m all for being quirky and trendy, but sometimes quirky is just ugly. And that’s definitely the case with these boots.

And someone needs to tell Mischa that a cute clutch is a better fashion accessory than a pack of Camel cigarettes.

Cheryl Cole Looks Hot

15. April 2008 | Filed under Celebrity Style, pumps

English singer and member of the girl group Girls Aloud, Cheryl Cole looked bright and beautiful in this colorful striped dress and bold pumps.

She is the wife of Chelsea and England footballer Ashley Cole, but she’s not wearing her ring here. Maybe she’ll be going back to her maiden name Tweedy very soon.

Her bright orange pumps look great with her form-fitting dress. She’s got a hot bod and loves flaunting it.

Even if you aren’t wearing a body-hugging dress, you can still wear bright shoes this season. Orange and yellow patent pumps and sandals are extremely popular right now. For a more subtle look, wear these hot shoes with more neutral outfit to make a fashion statement.

Fergie in Hollywood

14. April 2008 | Filed under Celebrity Style, fergie, pumps

Fergie was out and about in Hollywood this weekend, looking quite happy and chic. Though her outfit could be termed “casual,” Fergie stays stylish by wearing purple pumps with her shorts and button-down shirt.

Fergie

Her outfit mixes a variety of styles, including a menswear shirt with white cuffs in a feminine purple pinstripe. Her walking shorts and silver belt buckle are also nice pieces. But what really makes Fergie’s outfit come alive is her purple peep-toe pumps which are accented with contrasting piping and a cute ankle strap.

She finishes off the whole look with a glossy patent leather clutch.

Kate Mara in Beverly Hills

11. April 2008 | Filed under Celebrity Style, Sandals

Kate Mara looked just adorable at the Sak’s Fifth Avenue 20th Annual Spring Luncheon in Beverly Hills earlier this week.

Kate Mara

Her outfit provides a lot of texture and detail. The zipfront dress has an unique “tabbed” material throughout. I really like the simplicity of the silhouette of this dress. It takes an old school 1950’s style design and updates it with a very modern looking fabric.

She also wears some texture on her feet with her snakeskin sandals. At first glance the shoes look a little dark for her dress but she makes it work. A lighter snake embossed pump would have been nice as well.

Whatever type of shoes she’s wearing, Kate looks very pretty. She has a delicate, natural beauty about her.

Kate Hudson at the UK Fool’s Gold Premiere

11. April 2008 | Filed under Celebrity Style

Kate Hudson looked simply stunning at the UK premiere of “Fool’s Gold.” Her green gown is amazing - I love the off the shoulder look.

Kate Hudson

She looks classy but still quite sassy. I also like it that we get a peek at here shoes - an embellished peep-toe pump. So many dresses we see on the red carpet drag on the ground, so we never get much of a glimpse of the celebs’ evening shoes.

Fool’s Gold stars Kate and Matthew McConaughey as a married couple in search of treasure.

Renee Zellweger and George Clooney

10. April 2008 | Filed under Celebrity Style, Patent Leather

Even though she looks like she is about to cry and her hair is atrocious, Renee Zelleweger’s outfit looked great at the premiere of her new film Leatherheads. Oh … and George Clooney doesn’t look bad either. :)

Renee Zellweger and George Clooney

Renee seems to always be scrunching her face in photos. This time, maybe she had a cold as reports say that at the London premiere of the film, an employee was spotted wiping Renee’s nose with a red handerchief. That’s right - Renee Zellweger can’t wipe her own nose.

I love the simple silhouette of the dress Renee is wearing here. The top of the dress highlighted in sequins while the rest of the ensemble is basic black - down to her patent pumps. A metallic sandal would have worked here as well.

In Leatherheads George play 1920s American football player Jimmy ‘Dodge’ Connelly and Renee plays a journalist Lexie Littleton.

Brittany Snow in Fuchsia

10. April 2008 | Filed under Fashion Disasters

Cute Brittany Snow was wearing this fuchsia dress at MTV TRL earlier this week. Umm… yes because your black bra and black slip is hanging out doesn’t mean you should add black accessories to match! Tacky!

Her black patent sandals are too thick, chunky and harsh for this dress. The adorable dress would have looked fantastic with some appropriate undergarments and a more delicate sandal.

Lindsay Lohan in Beverly Hills

9. April 2008 | Filed under Celebrity Style, Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan went shopping in Beverly Hills yesterday wearing a big Fedora and oversized sunglasses. I have always thought if the celebs really didn’t want to be recognized, they would skip the hats and glasses. Just don’t wear makeup and put your hair in a ponytail - chances are no one will recognize you. The disguises are what draws attention to them … but I guess that’s what they want anyway.

Lindsay Lohan

I’m not really a fan of anything that Lindsay is wearing in this picture. The black faded skinny jeans and simple ballet flats just aren’t flattering at all (well neither is the men’s blazer).

For a cute casual look, a pair of capri pants or blue jeans and an embellished thong sandal or bright flat are ideal. And a simple sweater or colorful top is better than this ensemble.

Oh well, no one is perfect. Since she was shopping, maybe she was buying some new clothes. :)

Lindsay Lohan is in the news today because her former bodyguard David Kim is suing her for more than $50,000. Kim claims that he was hired for $4,000 a week.

This is the second time the Lohan family has had trouble with hired help recently. Two weeks ago, Lindsay’s mom and manager was ordered to pay $300,000 to another former bodyguard who had lent money to help get Lindsay’s music career started.

Eva Longoria in Nice, France

8. April 2008 | Filed under Boots, Eva Longoria

Eva Longoria Parker is in Nice, France and she’s looking very … um, well, French.

Eva’s pulled back hair, colorful silk scarf and gold disc earrings are all very European. And I simply adore her pearly swing coat.

Eva Longoria Parker

The one thing I can’t stand about this outfit is the boots. They just dont seem to fit in. I would have much rather have seen her in a chic heel or shorter, more fitted boot. These knee-high brown boots just don’t seem fair to the rest of the outfit.

Eva is always cute though, so I can’t really knock her that much.
